What Does the Engine Check Light Mean?

To get your engine checked, obviously. There is more to it than that, however. The engine is the heart of the vehicle. Regular servicing of the engine is therefore strongly recommended. However, sometimes the engine may have some issues that may not be necessarily be related to the normal servicing. It is good to be aware of these things so as to take appropriate action.

So what triggered the engine-check light to go on? The engine oxygen sensor may be faulty and may require replacing. At other times the gas cap may be loose, lost or damaged. More serious issues could be from the catalytic converter that needs replacing. The spark plugs may be worn out and need replacing as well as the plug wires. At times, the mass airflow sensor could be damaged as well.

Any of the above could have triggered the light to go on. Come on down to our dealership service centers where our experts will pinpoint the exact issue, fix it and get you back on the road.
