Subaru to Bid Adieu to the Tribeca

A familiar face is taking its last bows here in the Dulles Motorcars showroom, and stepping aside for a new model.

If you have been interested in getting into the latest 2013 Tribeca model here in Leesburg, Virginia then now is the time, as Subaru will officially be discontinuing it in 2014.  This move will make way for a newer crossover SUV to be developed, one that will step into the abandoned role for the Japanese automaker.

Making its arrival in the 2006 model year, the Tribeca was available as both a five and seven passenger SUV, with a limited and standard trim.  Subaru first refreshed the crossover in 2008, and as time went on the third row seats became a standard feature.

In regards to this change in inventory and the future for the offerings in this segment, a brand representative told Motor Trend: "Subaru of America has confirmed that production of the Tribeca model will cease in January 2014 with last deliveries to retailers in February 2014," and "The company has announced that it plans to return to the mid-size SUV segment with a three-row vehicle in the future."1

While it is sad to say goodbye to the Tribeca, it is exciting to see what the brand will add next to our inventory of new Subaru vehicles here at Dulles Motorcars.

To come check out the Tribeca's last stand here at our dealership serving the Leesburg, Virginia region stop by our showroom that is conveniently located right next to the quaint Brandon Park.
