How to Travel with Holiday Food

Now that the holidays are here, there's a good chance you and your family will be traveling to the homes of your friends and relatives, sharing a number of rich meals. You may also be transporting hot meals to the local soup kitchen to share a little holiday cheer with those who are in need. No matter your reasons for transporting meals or treats, here are some tips that will keep your car safe.

First, make sure that your car is lined with a large blanket or towels. This will allow you to place the food on the floor of the vehicle. So, if you have to brake suddenly, the dishes won't have anywhere to fall, which can prevent spills.

You can also use large snack bags and reusable bags to place your large bowls and casserole dishes in. This provides another protective layer that keeps food from coming in contact with your vehicle. Happy holidays!
