Trendy paint options include Deep Sea Blue, Silky Silver, Fire Orange, and Currant Red. The sedan is available in six trim levels, namely the FE, LXS, GT-Line, EX, GT, and GT Manual. You can choose from two engines with the Forte. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission and generates an output of 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. For a more robust output of 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, opt for the GT trim, which is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The GT manual trim is equipped with the same engine but features a six-speed manual transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard on all trims.

You'll receive an overall agreeable ride from the Forte. The sedan is stable around corners and provides well-weighted steering and firm yet comfortable suspension. In addition, the Forte offers good fuel economy, especially if you opt for the standard engine with the automatic suspension. This powertrain's fuel efficiency is rated at 41 mpg on the highway and 31 mpg in the city.
