Trim Levels (Exterior)
You'll be able to get the 2022 Kia Sorento in several different trim levels, the LX, S, EX, SX, SX-Prestige, and SX Prestige X-Line. The LX offers LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels, while the S has black accents, roof rails, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The EX gets you black alloy wheels and a smart power liftgate.
On the SX, you'll notice bold 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels and bright LED lighting. The SX-Prestige adds power-folding mirrors. Last is the SX-Prestige X-Line, which features an exclusive Aruba Green paint scheme, updated bumpers with skid plates, and a black roof rack.
Engine (Power)
We can expect two engine options to come with the 2022 Sorento. There's an inline four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine that will get you up to 191 horsepower, as well as a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine. This system comes paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and delivers up to 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. You can experience a smooth ride whether you're driving on gravel or down the highway.
Performance
Various performance features make driving the Sorento smoother and better than ever. An available all-wheel-drive system allows you to handle tough road and weather conditions with ease. You'll get up to an impressive estimated 29 mpg on the highway, so you can travel farther between filling up. You can expect to be able to haul up to 3,500 pounds, which is enough to take your trailer or boat out for a weekend of fun.
Interior
Inside the new Sorento, you'll find updated features throughout as well as classic comfort and high-end technology. The LX comes with three-row seating for up to seven, one-touch slide-and-fold second-row seats, and cloth seating. You also get a large 8-inch touch-screen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. With the X, you get SynTex seating, heated front seats, and the UVO link system.
The EX comes with a wireless phone charger and second-row captain's chairs. Inside the SX, you get a 10.25-inch infotainment system screen with built-in navigation and power front seats. The SX-Prestige comes with ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a premium Bose audio sound system. There's also a large 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The SX-Prestige X-Line adds genuine rust leather seating and interior finishes and options such as open-pore wood trim and bright satin finishes.
Safety Features
A series of enhanced safety and driver assistance features help keep you and your passengers protected while on the road. These include a lane-keep assist system with lane-centering, a driver-attention warning system, a forward-collision warning system, and automatic speed limit adaption.
