You can get the 2022 Sportage in four unique trim levels, plus the new Nightfall Edition. You can also choose from the LX, EX, and SX Turbo. The LX has a matte black and bright chrome grille, a rear spoiler, and power-adjustable mirrors. The Nightfall Edition comes with special edition badging, a Piano Black grille, and 18-inch Dark Gray wheels. The EX has a gloss black and chrome grille, a panoramic sunroof with a power sunshade, and a smart power liftgate. Lastly, the sporty SX Turbo gets you a dark chrome and gloss black grille, metal skid plates, and 19-inch machine-finished wheels.
Engine (Power)
Two engine options allow you to choose the Sportage with the right amount of power for your lifestyle. Standard is a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder design paired with an electronically controlled six-speed transmission with overdrive and Sportmatic capability. You get up to 175 pound-feet of torque and 181 horsepower with this combination. The SX Turbo features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Enhanced performance features allow you to travel farther, explore more, and do it all while experiencing a smooth ride. You can use the drive mode select system for a precision driving style in various conditions. The available all-wheel-drive system helps you navigate challenging terrain and inclement weather conditions. You can also haul up to a fairly impressive 2,000 pounds. Additional features include electronic stability control, traction control, and hill start assist with downhill brake control.
Interior
The interior of the new Sportage was designed to impress. Inside the LX, you get an 8-inch touch screen with a voice recognition system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The Nightfall Edition offers SynTex seating, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, and alloy sport pedals. Safety Features
